Introducing Whole Foods to Seattle

Opened in 2000, this development marked Whole Foods’ first foray into the Seattle market. Located in the Roosevelt neighborhood of North Seattle, the project faced constraints due to the small block sizes in the area. TRF collaborated closely with the tenant and design team to create a multi-level structure featuring a parking garage, complemented by an open parking field on an adjacent lot across the street.

While TRF typically holds assets long-term, this property was sold by the capital partner. The resources generated from the sale fueled future developments, helping to expand TRF’s portfolio. Today, much like another TRF project, the site benefits from proximity to a light rail station and a growing hub of apartment development.
