Our Story

Before TRF Pacific there was the Rainier Fund.

On February 14, 1975, Bob Parks and Hank Gordon came together to form The Rainier Fund.  The company quickly became known as TRF. In 1976 Bob and Hank were joined by Chuck Hart and they were off on the first of many development adventures building Bear Creek Village in Redmond, WA, a grocery anchored shopping center completed in 1976 that still operates today.  Bob, Hank and Chuck’s partnership carried on through 39 projects across Washington, Montana, Oregon, Alaska, Nevada and California until 1988 when Hank decided to form a new development firm in Los Angeles, TRF Development, Inc...

In the middle of 2011, TRF expanded its operation to include a portfolio of residential 3rd party management, which is a first for the partnership.  At this same time, they also added several new 3rd party commercial property management contracts through the purchase of another entity.  3rd party management was a business opportunity that has been considered for many years but only pursued when approached by one of our long-term project investment partners.   TRF manages these accounts in the same fashion and diligence as they do for their projects with ownership interest.

Today, the TRF partnership consists of Bob, Doug, Phil, Rick and Tim.  Working in concert on a daily basis with the valued staff members of TRF the group continues to explore opportunities for project development, ownership and management to build on the experience and assets the many years of together have afforded.

TRF Pacific, LLC recently completed its 57th commercial real estate project in Sammamish, Washington. With over 40 years of experience developing and managing prime retail and office projects up and down the West Coast and particularly in the Pacific Northwest, TRF is pleased to be a part of one of the first grocery-anchored mixed-use developments in the greater Seattle area in the past five years.
